Aeris - 1 year

Aeris just turned 1 a week ago, and her mommy asked me to take her 1 year pictures. Little ones seem to grow up so fast, and it is in the blink of an eye and they are all grown up!! They are still always your babies, but they learn to talk and walk, and run and do things that you dont want to do. It is such a learning time for a 1 year old and it was so fun to go out with Aeris and see what intrigued her and what she wanted to grab ahold of. From just little flowers to blades of grass - Aah wish life would just slow down for us older generation so that blades of grass and other little things in life would just grab ahold of us and intrigue us. Life just seems to go soooo fast and be sooo busy. Melissa - I could totally tell that you and your husband enjoy this time with her. Just soak it up for all its worth!!! It wont be long and your baby will be in school and then life just goes so much faster when that happends. She sure is a sweet little girl, and her smile is contagious!!!! Thanks so much for asking me to take her pictures.

Brock - Wyoming Park Senior 2011

Last week I was honored to be able to take the senior pictures of Brock. It was a beautiful night downtown Grand Rapids, and I could have taken pictures all night. Brock will be graduating in the year 2011. He is a great basketball player and a football player for Wyoming Park High School. Wow!!! What a busy guy!! He is also privaledged to have his dad as the coach for the basketball team. Some may think that is probably not the greatest thing - but I think it is special and as the years go by that will probably be a great memory!! Brock was so fun to hang out with. He knew what to do, and I didnt even have to tell him to smile - that was great!!! Sometimes guys have a hard time in front of the camera!!! Thanks Brock for being such a trooper. Glad your mom took you out for ice cream afterward for being such a good boy!!! :) Here are just a few of my favorites. There are many many more.

Knott family

This past Saturday I spent a little time with the Knott family. The mom and dad were given the gift of family pictures for their anniversary. I love when I can spend some time with families meeting them and sharing in their stories. These parents are totally in love and I could tell right from the start - what a great blessing to be married and together sharing a love story for such a great amount of time - I LOVE IT!!! The have 3 wonderful children, well, really 5 wonderful children due to marriage, one bubbly little boy grandchild, and another bubbly little boy grandchild on the way. They have been truly blessed!!! Thanks so much Knott family for allowing me to hang out with you this past Saturday. It was a great honor to be part of your celebration. Congratulations!!!

Footprints

Last weekend we went to the beach with the girls at night because it was just beautiful out!!! I got taking pics of them, because, well, I dont go anywhere without the camera around really. I was watching the girls and the neat expressions that they made and looked down and saw footprints of my little Elise that just snuck by me. I had to capture those footprints in the sand. Today, as I was going thru those pictures, this one in particular, that poem "Footprints in the sand" came to my head. God had put Elise's footprints upon my mind and camera for a special reason. Someone very special to me found out this week that they had cancer. Not, knowing that when this picture was taken, I think God put this picture and poem together for that special someone. Remembering that God carries us when we have needs and burdens, and that we can cast all our cares upon Him for he cares for us.
